Once we have verified your trade visitor status, you will receive an email invitation. You can then use this to register online. There, you can reserve your preferred seats and indicate which side events you would like to attend. You will receive all further information by email.

Attendance at the Single Vineyard Summit is free for industry professionals. The actual value of a tasting slot is 400 euros. In addition, lunch is provided daily at no extra cost, the full supporting programme is included, and a free shuttle service runs between Wagram railway station and Grafenegg Castle on an on-demand basis.

What we ask in return: The Summit thrives on the objective and independent evaluation of the Erste Lagen wines. We therefore ask you to share your anonymous reviews with us. Furthermore, we would be delighted if you could help promote the ÖTW’s mission to a wider audience, whether through publications, Instagram content, self-organised tastings or other means. The Summit provides the foundation; you give it the reach.

You’ll get to taste the latest vintages from the top vineyards before they hit the market, and in a way that no other event can match. All the major Austrian wine regions are represented: Kamptal, Kremstal, Traisental, Wagram, Vienna, Carnuntum and the Thermenregion, complemented by our invited partners from the Wachau, Styria and Burgenland.

What makes the Summit special: many wines are poured personally by the winemakers. Discussions about terroir, vintage and style take place directly over a glass, without any intermediaries.

No problem. In 2025, over 300 guests from more than 30 countries attended the summit. Most of the winemakers speak fluent English, and many speak other languages as well. The summit is inherently international.

There are two tasting slots each day: one from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and one from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Both take place in the new Rudolf Buchbinder Hall at Grafenegg Castle. Once you have registered, you can book your preferred slot online; places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

Basically, as many as you like, provided there are places available. Bookings can only be made online and are only confirmed once you have received the confirmation email.

It’s entirely up to you. Before the summit, you’ll receive a list of all the wines available, complete with all the relevant details. This will allow you to plan at your leisure which flights you’d like to taste and in what order. During the tasting itself, you can request six wines per flight; they’ll be brought directly to your seat. Whether you choose by winery, vineyard site or across all regions, the choice is yours.

To ensure a focused working atmosphere, the tasting will take place in what is known as the ‘silent format’: entry is permitted only at the start of each session (9.00 am or 2.00 pm), seating is allocated, and silence must be observed in the room. Anyone wishing to taste in peace will appreciate this.

The supporting programme is open exclusively to participants of the Single Vineyard Summit. You can sign up for individual events directly during the registration process. Some events operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s worth registering early.

Grafenegg Castle is located around 60 km west of Vienna and can be reached by public transport from both Vienna city centre and Vienna International Airport, travelling to Wagram-Grafenegg station, or from Krems. During the summit, a free, dedicated shuttle service runs daily from Wagram-Grafenegg station.

There are a number of places to stay in the immediate vicinity of Grafenegg; the earlier you book, the better. There is a wider choice in Krems, from where you can easily take the train to Wagram-Grafenegg.

The tastings are free of charge, and lunch is included. You’ll need to arrange your own travel, accommodation and dinner.

The summit is aimed at industry professionals. Whether you are a wine journalist, sommelier, wine merchant, importer, restaurateur, hotelier or any other professional working in the wine industry, you are very welcome – regardless of which country you come from.

This year, there are five tickets available for wine enthusiasts outside the industry. Places are deliberately limited, as the Summit is primarily an event for professionals. One of the few tickets is available to purchase here.

There is also a separate event specifically for consumers: the premiere of the ‘Erste Lagen’ wines in Grafenegg Castle Park. Weather permitting, you can sample the ÖTW’s latest ‘Erste Lagen’ wines there in a unique setting, tailored to an interested audience without the need for specialist knowledge.
